Have students sit or lay down in the grass (or elsewhere) and cite this passage.
"Breathe in, and feel air coming into your nose.
Breathe out, and count one.
Breathe in, and notice air filling your lungs.
Breathe out, and count two.
Breathe in, and see the air expanding your belly.
Breathe out, and count three."
Conduct this activity in an outdoor setting. It can be an environment as simple as having your students go outside into a patch of grass or finding a more environmentally immersive space. Remember to cite the passage in a soft, calm, and slow demeanor. Before you begin, decide if you'd like your students to count out loud or in their minds.
